Professor Emily Shuckburgh OBE
Director of Cambridge Zero, University of Cambridge
Co-Director of the Centre of Landscape Regeneration, Professor Shuckburgh is currently acting as Chief Scientific Advisor to the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero. She is the Director of Cambridge Zero, the University of Cambridge's major climate change initiative, Professor of Environmental Data Science at the University's Department of Computer Science and Technology. She also leads the UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training on the Application of AI to the study of Environmental Risks.
Professor Shuckburgh is a mathematician and climate scientist and a Fellow of Darwin College, a Fellow of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, an Associate Fellow of the Centre for Science and Policy, a Fellow of the British Antarctic Survey and a Fellow of the Royal Meteorological Society.

Professor David Coomes
Director of the Centre for Earth Observation, University of Cambridge
Co-Director of the Centre of Landscape Regeneration and former Director of the Cambridge Conservation Research Institute, Professor Coomes is also Head of the Forest Ecology and Conservation Research Group in the University's Department of Plant Sciences and Director of the Centre for Earth Observation.
Professor Coomes' work focuses on forest ecology and informing policy through research to conserve the world’s dwindling biological diversity - one of the most pressing issues facing humans. His group's research uses high-resolution remote sensing and modern computational approaches such as machine learning to understand how landscapes are responding to global change.

Bhaskar Vira
Dept of Geography, University of Cambridge
Professor Bhaskar Vira FAcSS is Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Education and Environmental Sustainability, and Professor of Political Economy at the Department of Geography, a Fellow of Fitzwilliam College, and an Honorary Fellow of St John’s College. Bhaskar took over as the official Principal Investigator on the CLR project from September 2024.
